Oregonians should know that their auto insurance pays for massage therapy to help recover from auto accidents.
We make it easy for you to begin your massage treatments. If you’ve opened a claim with your auto insurance company, the next step is to call us. We will take care of the details and make it easy for you.
If you were injured in a car accident, your auto insurance will pay for your massage therapy treatments. All auto insurance policies in the State of Oregon include Personal Injury Protection (PIP); this extension of your insurance will pay for massage therapy regardless of who was determined to be “at fault.” This coverage allows you to be treated for your auto accident related injuries with a simple referral from your chiropractor, naturopath, osteopath or medical doctor.
Our clinic has thousands of hours of experience providing medical massage therapy for auto accident injuries. It is often the body’s soft tissues (muscles, tendons and other connective tissues) that are injured in auto accidents. The therapists at Siskiyou Massage are highly skilled in treating auto accident injuries including whiplash, neck and back injuries, tendon damage, muscle spasms, myofascial pain, headaches, migraines, and insomnia.
Medical massage is a term that refers to special techniques used when massage is part of the overall treatment of medical problems stemming from trauma to the body. This form of massage is often, but not always, done under the instruction of a physician in the case of work-related injuries or auto injuries and focuses on addressing the affected area(s). Your therapist will conduct a thorough health intake during each massage session and develop a treatment plan to provide you with the most appropriate treatment for your injury. Therapists will document progress and work closely with other health care providers to provide you with the best care. At regular intervals, your therapist will send progress reports to your referring health care provider to keep them up to date with the treatments. Your massage may include advanced myofascial techniques, craniosacral therapy, deep tissue techniques, relax and contract techniques and post-isometric relaxation techniques on the affected muscles and joints.
I am so grateful for the intelligent body work I experienced. I have a shoulder injury from a car accident that was diagnosed and treated with great care. I have a lot less pain and a lot more function.
I feel that I’m returning to my normal active life since coming to Siskiyou Massage. Not only is my therapist’s work phenomenal, but he has taught me greater awareness of what I can do to assist in my own recovery.
Siskiyou Massage is a lifesaver to me. I have never before had massage be so therapeutic. The focus is on healing, not just massage, and it is effective. The atmosphere is comfortable and soothing.
My therapist is an extremely gifted therapist who has helped me work through some neck and back injuries. He is extremely intuitive and knowledgable of the body. I have also been to two other therapists. They are the best group of therapists I have ever found. I travel extensively, and am comforted that with my difficult schedule at least one of them is always available when I need help. They are truly the best of the best.
I arrived at Siskiyou Massage with a very sore neck and limited mobility. My therapist diagnosed the problem, worked on my stressed/injured neck muscles , and showed me some exercises I can do at home to keep my neck from seizing up again. He is knowledgeable, skilled, and kind, and I highly recommend him.
I had a great first visit at Siskiyou Massage this week, and I signed up for 2 more sessions in the next couple of weeks. I really appreciate the quality of touch, integrity of attention and knowledge-base with which you are working! I am a massage therapist as well, and I recognize quality work when I feel it 😉 Thank you!
My therapist is the best massage therapist in Southern Oregon. I’m a physical therapist so I know good skills when I see them (or feel them). I highly recommend them.
